Credit Authorization
This page describes how credit information may be obtained and used by participating lenders when evaluating your request.
Overview
This Credit Authorization (“Authorization”) explains how credit and related information may be obtained and used in connection with your request to be connected with participating lenders or other credit providers (“Lenders”). By submitting information on this site or otherwise indicating your agreement, you authorize the obtaining, use, and sharing of credit-related information as described below, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Important: Cash Advance: Akron Loans is a connector/marketing and lead-generation service and does not originate loans or make credit decisions. Lenders are solely responsible for underwriting and for providing any required disclosures, notices, and agreements.
Definitions
- “Consumer report” means a consumer report as defined by the U.S. Fair Credit Reporting Act (“FCRA”), 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq.
- “Consumer reporting agency” (“CRA”) means a consumer reporting agency as defined by the FCRA (for example, the nationwide credit bureaus and other CRAs).
- “Credit information” may include data in consumer reports, credit scores, identity verification information, public records, and other information permitted by law and Lender policy.
- “Hard inquiry” and “soft inquiry” are types of credit report requests that may differ in how they appear on your credit file.
- “You/your” means the person submitting information and seeking to be connected to Lenders through Cash Advance: Akron Loans.
Your authorization and consent
You authorize Cash Advance: Akron Loans and any Lenders, and each of their respective agents, service providers, and assignees, to obtain and use credit information about you in connection with (i) evaluating your request for credit, (ii) presenting you with potential offers, and (iii) where applicable, verifying your identity and information and preventing fraud. This Authorization may apply to information obtained from one or more CRAs and other lawful sources.
You agree that this Authorization is provided in connection with your request for credit and that it constitutes written instructions under the FCRA to obtain consumer reports for permissible purposes. You also authorize the use of your information to send required disclosures and to contact you about your request, consistent with our E-Consent and applicable law.
If you do not agree, do not submit your information. Lenders may be unable to evaluate your request without this Authorization.
Permissible purpose (FCRA)
Under the FCRA, a person may obtain a consumer report only for specific “permissible purposes,” such as in connection with a consumer’s application for credit, for the review or collection of an account, or as otherwise authorized by law. You understand and agree that Lenders and their authorized parties may obtain consumer reports about you for permissible purposes, including:
- Application for credit: evaluating eligibility, verifying information, and determining offer terms.
- Account review/servicing: if you accept an offer and open an account (as disclosed by the Lender).
- Collections: if you become delinquent or otherwise default (as permitted by law and disclosed by the Lender).
- Fraud prevention and identity verification: consistent with applicable law and Lender policies.
Consumer reports and credit inquiries
A Lender may obtain one or more consumer reports and/or credit scores from one or more CRAs. Depending on the Lender and product, the inquiry may be a “soft” inquiry (which may not impact your credit score) or a “hard” inquiry (which may impact your credit score and may appear to others reviewing your credit file). Whether an inquiry is hard or soft is determined by the Lender and the CRA.
You understand that different Lenders may obtain separate reports and that multiple inquiries may occur if you request to be connected to multiple Lenders or if you continue your request over time.
What information may be obtained
Subject to applicable law, Lenders and their authorized parties may obtain and use some or all of the following categories of information, as needed to evaluate your request:
- Credit bureau data: tradelines, payment history, inquiries, derogatory items, and related attributes.
- Credit scores: scores and risk indicators as provided by CRAs or scoring vendors.
- Identity verification data: name, address, date of birth, SSN/ITIN (if provided), and related verification results.
- Public records: where available and permitted (for example, certain judgments or liens, depending on jurisdiction).
- Banking/financial verification: if you choose to connect an account or otherwise authorize verification during a Lender’s process.
- Device and fraud signals: device identifiers, network information, and behavioral signals used for fraud prevention.
- Alternative data: information permitted by law and used by some Lenders to evaluate risk.
Not every Lender uses the same sources or categories of information. Actual data pulled varies by Lender, product, and state availability.
How credit information may be used
Credit information may be used by Lenders and their authorized parties for underwriting, verification, and compliance purposes, including to determine:
- Eligibility (whether you meet applicable criteria)
- Offer terms (for example, amount, term, APR, and any fees, where applicable)
- Verification outcomes (confirming identity, income, and other application information)
- Risk and fraud (detecting and preventing suspicious activity)
- Regulatory compliance (meeting legal obligations and maintaining records)
If a Lender makes an offer, the Lender is responsible for providing the disclosures required by law before you accept.
Sharing and disclosures
Your information may be shared among Cash Advance: Akron Loans, participating Lenders, and their respective agents and service providers for the purposes described in this Authorization. This can include sharing information you submit on this site as well as the results of verification checks, where permitted by law.
Lenders may have separate privacy notices and practices that govern how they use and share your information. If you accept an offer, the Lender’s agreements and disclosures will control your relationship with that Lender.
For marketing preferences and opt-out choices for Cash Advance: Akron Loans, see Unsubscribe and Do Not Sell/Share.
Ongoing authorization
You understand and agree that this Authorization may remain in effect for as long as necessary to complete the purposes described above, including during the time your request is being evaluated and, if you accept a loan, during the life of the account as disclosed by the Lender. This may include obtaining additional consumer reports for account review, servicing, or collections, to the extent permitted by law and described in the Lender’s agreements.
You can stop the process by not proceeding, but you may need to contact the Lender directly to revoke authorizations that apply after you accept a loan.
Adverse action notices
If a Lender takes “adverse action” based in whole or in part on information in a consumer report (for example, denying your application, offering different terms, or requiring a co-signer), the Lender may be required to provide you an adverse action notice. The notice typically includes the name, address, and phone number of the CRA that provided the report and may explain your rights to obtain a free copy of your report and dispute the accuracy or completeness of information with the CRA.
Cash Advance: Akron Loans does not control Lender decisions and cannot provide the reason for a Lender’s underwriting outcome beyond what the Lender discloses.
Your rights under the FCRA (summary)
You have rights under the FCRA. This section is a summary and does not replace the full text of the FCRA or any notice provided by a CRA or Lender. Depending on your situation, rights may include:

You can request a free annual credit report from the official source provided by U.S. law: AnnualCreditReport.com.
State-specific notices (where applicable)
